I'm heading to Al Quoz this weekend to look at a 2018 Ford Ranger and I want to go in prepared rather than relying on gut feeling. The seller seems okay over the phone but you never really know until you see the car in person. I'm not experienced with buying used cars here and I don't want to get excited and overlook something obvious. I saw a guide on Expert tips on red flags found during used car inspections in Al Quoz that mentioned a few things I hadn't considered, like checking for overspray on the rubber seals and looking at the undercarriage for fresh undercoating that might be hiding rust. That was helpful but I'd still like to hear from people who've actually bought cars in this area. What are the red flags you've personally encountered? And is it worth paying for a proper inspection on a car in this price range or should I just trust my own eyes?

Looking at a used car in Al Quoz, what red flags should make me walk away? -
Ticking noise on my 3.6, is it rocker arms or am I overthinking? My 2018 Wrangler has developed this faint ticking at idle that I only really notice when I'm parked next to a wall, but it's definitely there and it's been slowly getting louder over the last month. I've read enough forum posts to know the Pentastar has a bit of a reputation for rocker arm and lifter issues, so now every little sound has me second guessing. I'm in Musaffah and I'd rather find someone local who actually knows these engines instead of a general garage that'll just tell me it's normal. I came across an Expert overview of Jeep Pentastar 3.6L repair while searching around and it did help me understand the symptoms, but I'd still like to hear from owners who've dealt with this firsthand. At what point does the ticking become a real problem rather than just character? And does catching it early actually save you money or is the damage already done by the time you can hear it?
