Where do you actually find decent car services here without asking ten people

Genuinely curious how everyone else does this because I feel like I'm always relying on word of mouth and half the time the recommendation turns out to be someone's cousin who "does cars on the side." I needed a tyre change last month and spent two days asking around before just going to a random place that overcharged me. Same thing happened when I needed a battery, and again with a minor bodywork job. It's exhausting. A colleague mentioned he uses 800 Sayara whenever he needs to find something for his car, says it's basically a directory for this kind of thing, and I'm wondering if anyone else here has used it or if there's a better approach I'm missing. Do you all just have one trusted guy for everything, or do you search per job? Trying to build some kind of system so I stop wasting time on this every few months.
